You have spent your career inside markets, sizing them, testing them, and telling founders and executives the truth about whether an opportunity is real. You know the difference between an idea that sounds good in a boardroom and one that survives contact with an actual market.

Maybe you have done this inside a strategy or advisory practice. Maybe you have built or brokered businesses yourself. Maybe you simply know the Texas business community well, the people, the associations, the introductions.

Wherever you have come from, you know how to build a credible picture of an opportunity from the ground up.

We are now exploring what a move into the United States could look like, with an initial focus on Texas. Before we commit real resources to that move, we want to know whether the opportunity is real, which is where you come in.

What We Need

This is early-stage work. We have a hypothesis about the opportunity, and we need someone who can test it properly before we go any further.

Market assessment. Help us understand the size and shape of the opportunity in Texas for our category.

Landscape mapping. Identify who else is operating in this space and where the openings might be for us.

Relationship mapping. Help us understand the kinds of businesses and people who could be relevant to a future move into this market.

The specifics of scope will be shaped around the right person, and we will go into more detail once we are talking.

Who You Will Work With

You will work directly with our CEO (based in Brisbane, Australia) and General Manager for North America (based in Vancouver). This is a project they are personally driving, and you will have their time and input without layers in between.

Is This You?

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience in strategy consulting, market research, business development or a closely related field
• Strong knowledge of, or a strong network within, the Texas business community
• The ability to build a credible, evidence-based case rather than an opinion
• Comfort with early-stage, ambiguous work
