Your Mission Brief

WOLF Advanced Technology is on the hunt for a full-time Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineering to join our independent quality team in Melbourne, FL.

Reporting to the Chief Quality Officer | General Manager, WOLF USA, you'll play a mission-critical role in strengthening supplier quality, reducing supply chain risk, and ensuring the PCBs, PCBAs, electronic assemblies, machined parts, and materials that power our aerospace and defense solutions consistently meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance.

As WOLF's primary quality liaison to external suppliers, you'll provide supplier quality oversight for U.S.-based PCBA manufacturing and testing operations while partnering closely with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, and external suppliers. From qualifying new suppliers and conducting audits to managing supplier corrective actions, incoming inspection strategies, and procurement quality requirements, you'll help ensure mission-critical products are delivered right the first time.

As Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineering at WOLF, you might…

  • Drive supplier excellence: Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, management review inputs, and performance reviews to ensure quality, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance expectations are consistently achieved
  • Lead supplier audits and assessments: Conduct supplier qualifications, supplier, customer, and internal audits, and ongoing supplier evaluations to strengthen capability and support long-term performance improvements
  • Own supplier corrective actions: Lead SCARs, NCRs, CARs, MRB, containment activities, supplier escapes, and CAPA investigations while verifying the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
  • Strengthen procurement quality: Partner with Procurement to define and verify supplier quality flowdowns, purchase order requirements, and drawing/BOM revisions to ensure suppliers consistently meet quality and contractual requirements
  • Maintain supplier controls: Verify inspection, testing, traceability, certification, counterfeit-parts prevention, and supplier change-notification requirements while helping prevent unauthorized supplier, process, material, drawing, software, or firmware changes.
  • Oversee incoming quality planning: Develop and maintain risk-based incoming inspection plans for PCBs, PCBAs, electronic assemblies, machined parts, and supplier-provided materials while reviewing inspection reports, certifications, traceability records, manufacturing plans, inspection plans, test plans, process controls, and AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation
  • Manage supplier approvals and risk: Support Approved Supplier List (ASL) and Approved Vendor List (AVL) activities, supplier approvals, certifications, alternate sourcing, supplier transitions, new product introductions, and production readiness while mitigating supplier risk and preventing unauthorized supplier, process, material, drawing, software, or firmware changes
  • Champion continuous improvement: Apply tools such as 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone, and FMEA to resolve supplier issues, reduce defects, improve quality performance, support supplier-related RMAs and failure analysis, and contribute to customer, registrar, and certification-body quality activities

At WOLF, your work will help ensure the components, materials, manufacturing partners, and supplier quality systems behind our mission-critical technologies consistently deliver the performance our aerospace and defense customers depend on.
