About the Opportunity

Focus Corporation has exciting opportunities for several pro-active Senior Land Development Engineers to join their established teams in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, and Medicine Hat.

The primary purpose of these roles will be to be responsible for the design and approval of civil engineering works associated with subdivision and municipal projects according to Provincial and Municipal standards.

To be successful in the role, you must have:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering;
• A P.Eng Designation; 
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in municipal and land development engineering projects;
• Membership or be eligible for membership with any provincial engineering association.

Ideally, you will be familiar with the land development process and relevant components including development agreements, current design standards, technical specifications and land use by-laws. The successful applicant will have experience in setting grades on both a large and small scale perspective.

It is essential to have knowledge in the design of underground (storm, sanitary and water) and surface (roads) infrastructure. Having demonstrated an understanding of storm water management and storm drainage will be viewed favourably.
