About the Opportunity

As a result of significant growth, DynaWinch is on the lookout for three experienced 3D Mechanical Designers to join the designing and drafting team in Calgary!

In the position, you will report to the Engineering Manager and exercise your extensive experience to generate 3D models of equipment and engineering drawings for shop production.

Specific duties of the position will include:

• Creating 3D models in SolidWorks 3D;
• Contributing to team brainstorming and planning sessions for the engineering department;
• Translating engineering sketches and briefs into final designs while supporting various projects in an engineering design and technical capacity;
• Pinpointing areas for improvement to equipment design, facilities design, and engineering process;
• Submitting progress reports on projects and outstanding issues;
• Developing Bill of Materials for designed projects.

You proudly bring 4+ years of experience in 3D modeling to the table, and ideally, will have worked previously creating mobile oilfield service equipment. You hold a diploma or higher in Design or Engineering and enjoy utilizing your advanced computer skills and knowledge of SolidWorks 3D.

You’re a whiz at multitasking and coordinating technical operations while handling any immediate issues that arise. A basic understanding of weldments and engineering concepts is a must!
