About the Opportunity

Aura has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Intermediate Interior Designer who is committed to delivering quality projects. 

With the opportunity to work at either our downtown Vancouver or Langley office, you will create inspirational designs, prepare client meeting presentations/documentation, ensure that projects adhere to the design specifications, and ultimately, create ecstatic clients.

Working closely with clients and your team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing interior design expertise in a variety of project types including corporate interiors, commercial, educational, and industrial
  • Acting as a primary client contact on projects
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of construction project costs and project management skills
  • Participating in strategic business development
  • Advising on approaches to project delivery 
  • Coordinating closely with Project Managers regarding office production standards, procedures, and systems
  • Leading on design concepts, design development documents or construction documents
  • Contributing to a culture of team building and continuous improvement

To qualify for this challenging role, you will be a graduate of an accredited interior design or architectural school and have professional experience in commercial interior design. In addition, the successful candidate will also possess the following:  

  • Technical proficiency and experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or 3D Studio Max
  • Knowledge about various materials relating to finishes, furnishings, and construction 
  • Proven skills in the selection of FF&E
  • Knowledge of BC Building Code
  • Valid BC Driver's Licence
