About the Opportunity
Wapiti Gravel Suppliers is actively searching for two Municipal Base Foremen in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
In these full-time, seasonal roles, you will schedule, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities of employees, promoting and developing team work within and across departments in order to ensure projects are completed on time, and on budget.
More specifically, you will:
- Improve process performance and oversee succession planning by training, motivating and coaching employees;
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other foremen and superintendents;
- Ensure that safety and health procedures are adhered to at all times;
- Provide project managers with full value products, technical support, and quality service;
- Investigate, document, and report on injuries, accidents and near misses;
- Requisition materials and supplies as required; and
- Track and report daily job costs.
The successful applicant must join us with an extensive background in interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. In addition, you will possess a solid understanding of construction equipment and materials, transportation of materials, site grading, and granular base construction.
We’re looking for a go-getter who has excellent communication skills both in verbal and written situations. You will be a flexible individual who is happy to work in a team with minimal supervision. Also, you must have a valid class 5 drivers’ license.
